Reefwise Aquarium store in Lisle Opens

I got to check out a new reef aquarium store called Reefwise in Lisle,IL yesterday.  The shop is owned by Brian and looks to be off to a great start especially for only being open 3 days.  Right now he has two very large aquarium troughs with plenty of live rock, small and large coral colonies and frags.  There was a nice variety of LPS, SPS and soft corals.  The prices were very reasonable for the size of the coral pieces.  Eventually he plans to have a full fish system and more troughs for coral.  He also plans on stocking...

Eheim Jager Heater Review

Choosing an aquarium heater can be difficult because there are so many options.  Over the years I have tried many brands but I had always been a fan of Ebo-Jager heaters.  Recently I finally bought new ones as my existing Ebo-Jager aquarium heaters that are 10 plus years old have started to have issues.  First off Ebo-Jager aquarium heaters are now Eheim Jager heaters.  I believe Eheim ended up buying the Ebo-Jager brand.  I had purchased a 50 and 250 watt versions. They also make a 25, 75,100,125,150,200, and 300 watt versions. On to the review.

The first thing you need to do is get the supplies.  The items needed are four 1/2" PVC elbows, 1/2" PVC...

Ocellaris Clownfish Spawning

Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion Ocellaris) are a popular saltwater fish for saltwater aquariums.  They are an attractive and hardy addition to most saltwater aquariums.  They are a reef safe fish but may bother any corals that they may host in.  This would include corals such as hammer corals, xenia or anything that flows in the current.  They can be kept in saltwater aquariums as small as 10 gallons. In order to get your Ocellaris clownfish to spawn you fish need to have a bonded pair.  The easiest way...
